Our Mission Statement:

A partnership among local Christian Churches, the Pecatonica Community Food Pantry is dedicated to providing for the needs of hungry people by organizing volunteers, collecting and distributing food, and collaborating with other human service agencies.

We are supported by private and public grants as available, as well as generous donations through food drives and individual food and monetary donations throughout the year.

The Pecatonica Community Food Pantry is open during the following hours:

2nd Saturday of each month from 10 to 11:30 am*

3rd Wednesday of each month from 3 to 4:30 pm*

4th Tuesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 am*​

We are currently distributing

prepacked meal boxes during the times listed above to local families in need.  Food is distributed on a first come, first served basis.

The pantry can respond to after-hours local emergency food situations by calling John at (815) 985-6008 or Jen at (815) 335-7143

DONATION INFORMATION

Helping The Community

At Pecatonica Community Food Pantry, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing food insecurity.

 

Non-perishable donations may be dropped off on distribution days or by calling John at 815.985.6008. Fresh produce is also accepted on the day the pantry is open.

Monetary donations can be mailed to Pecatonica Community Food Pantry, P.O. Box 610, Pecatonica, Illinois, 61063.  Checks can be made payable to Pecatonica Community Food Pantry.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are many ways to help out at the pantry. We are so thankful for everyone who volunteers to make the pantry run smoothly. From packing boxes, to unloading trucks of food, to stocking shelves, there is a job for everyone. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with John at (815) 985-6008 or Jen at (815) 335-7143.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs).
